Thank you for your letter dated 6 November 2008.
I am aware that some companies have suggested that as a result of the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations the current PTR&R arrangements no longer apply, particularly with regard to seniority.
The union’s position is that until such time as any changes are negotiated all the current arrangements remain in place. Please ensure that the relevant Lead Officer is made aware of any attempts by management to unilaterally change existing agreements.
